The Olympic Studios may be the lesser of Londons famous recording studios, but while Abbey Road had the Beatles, Olympic had everyone else. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone: The Stones, Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Jimi, Pink Floyd...the list is bonkers.
Anyway, the place lay derelict for a number of years, but is now open as a cinema, restaurant and bar. So it's owner asked me to document it's past present and future. So over the coming months I will be collecting interviews with anyone who worked or played there. Indeed, if you have a connection or know someone connected to the Olympic, please get in touch.

WITHIN THESE WALLS
Musical history has been made within the walls of the Olympic Studios.
I have been making a series of short films that focus on one artist or producer who has been part of that history.
Here is sir Tim Rice talking about his experience.
ALL THESE RECORDS
Chris Kimsey is an amazing man. He's been part of the furniture at the olympic for many years.
All These Records is a series of short films where Chris Kimsey picks a random record from the box and explains what he remembers or knows about that particular recording.
EXPLORING A DERELICT OLYMPIC STUDIOS
The Olympic is now a glorious restaurant, bar and cinema, but for years it was derelict. In this film Chris Kimsey walks around the studio picking through old bits of equipment and talking about his memories of the studio in its heyday.
LIVE MUSIC
The beautiful cinema at Olympic also plays host to music performances. Here is a performance and interview by the hyper-talented Antonio Forcione.
